Women and Youth Transforming Local Public in Hebron

Funded by the European Commission and Balearic Government (GOIB), The Palestinian Information Technology Association of Companies – PITA implemented this project with the primary objective of empowering the ICT industry to offer technology-enabled solutions to important economic sectors. The project's anticipated result was the establishment of novel, accessible, and participatory service delivery systems in Hebron Municipality, along with the involvement of women- and youth-led CBOs and CSOs in the policy-making process.

The results of this project included:

  • Youth and women led CBOs advocate and engage in policy dialogue with the Hebron municipality for more gender-sensitive, youth friendly and accountable to citizens public services.
  • Participatory, Innovative and accessible service delivery mechanisms are in place and operative in Hebron Municipality.
  • Strengthened capacities in the municipality of Hebron to manage/promote citizens participation and to respond to feedback.
  • Increased community support and involvement in the work of CBOs and CSOs, to promote coordination spaces for advocacy and policy dialogue with local authorities and service providers.
