Part of the oriented sessions that are being held in Ramallah within the framework of “Support Palestinian IT Outsourcing to German Market and Green IT” Initiative which is being implemented by GIZ/PSDP and PITA that aims at improving qualifications to work as an outsourcing destination to German and other EU and non-EU markets companies, and enhancing the outsourcing capacities of Palestinian ICT companies located in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Those sessions - which are being held in parallel with Gaza Strip – comes as a first step within this initiative that targets 15 ICT companies in GS and WB under PITA’s umbrella, in which Deutscher Outsourcing Verband (German Outsourcing Association) has been contracted to implement this initiative’s proposed activities in cooperation with PITA and the GIZ. The sessions included an introduction in respect to the planned activities that will be implemented in later stages, introduction concerning the targeted companies, discussion of the challenges, gaps and obstacles that the companies encounter when it comes to outsourcing their services and networking with different international markets for the purposes of identifying those problems for tackling them individually with the companies, and an elaboration of the proper landscape for providing outsourced ICT services in a regional and global context.
